American Bashkir Curly Horses

Meet our purebred American Bashkir Curly Horses. The Curlies are known for their calm, intelligent and friendly personality. They show an easily trainable temperament. They are also known for having a tough constitution and great stamina. Most people have found that the Curlies enjoy being around people. The Curlies are typically not flighty. They tend to do more reasoning than most breeds. Curlies are acclaimed to be the only hypoallergenic horse breed; most people allergic to horses can handle Curly Horses without suffering any allergic reaction. Riding lessons and guided trail rides (two riders at the time) are available for guests who stay two nights or more on weekdays and on Saturday. We can't guarantee it due to circumstances like the weather, availability and conditions of the trails and the outdoor riding arena.

Please leave a comment at time of booking if you would like to schedule a riding lesson or a guided trail ride, and tell us your level of experience. Horseback riding is not available on Saturday November 21.

Before every trail ride at the Hidden Cave Ranch, we ask you to ride in the outdoor riding arena so we can see your riding skills. This is for the safety of the horse and the rider. Children under the age of 16 can only ride in the outdoor riding arena. We can't allow double riding. Minors need to wear a helmet. We recommend wearing jeans and boots or shoes with a heel.

Riding lessons are $30 per hr/pp for guests and $40 per hr/pp for non-guests. Guided trail rides are $40 per hour for guests and $50 per hour for non-guests. Be advised that there is a weight limit of 210 lbs.
