Meet our purebred American Bashkir Curly Horses. The Curly horses are known for their calm, intelligent and friendly personality. They show an easily trainable temperament. They are also known for having a tough constitution and great stamina. Most people have found that the Curly horses enjoy being around people. The Curly horses are typically not flighty. They tend to do more reasoning than most breeds. Curly horses are acclaimed to be the only hypoallergenic horse breed; most people allergic to horses can handle Curly Horses without suffering any allergic reaction. The horses are well trained and calm; still, they are living creatures with their own personality and character. Therefore, we try to make a good match between horse and rider. Riding lessons (up to four riders at the time) and guided trail rides (up to three riders at the time) is available for guests who stay two nights or more on weekdays and on Saturday. We can't guarantee that due to circumstances like the weather, availability and conditions of the trails and the outdoor riding arena.
Riders sixteen (16) and older can book a trail ride. Before you enter a trail ride at the Hidden Cave Ranch, we ask you to ride in the outdoor arena so we can see your riding skills. This is for the safety of the horse and the rider. Children under the age of sixteen (16) can book a horsemanship lesson in the outdoor riding arena. We don't allow double riding. Everyone needs to wear a helmet that we'll provide. We recommend wearing jeans and boots or shoes with a heel.
